WA Demo Retreat Day

No automatic alt text available.

Hi Everyone,

A couple of weekends ago, I had the pleasure of attending a WA Demo Retreat Day arranged by 2 lovely WA demos Kelly Kent & Nicole Wilson... And today we get to share the cards that we provided as our kit for 12 other lucky demos to make via this blog hop!! So if you are already hopping you would have come from Siobhan's blog, so welcome and if you are just starting here, there's 7 other blogs to have a look at.

There was about 30 demos who attended and the day was arranged that we each were able to make 12 different cards! It was great fun seeing all the different cards and getting to try some new techniques or layouts!

I'm excited to share a stepped up version of a class card I made earlier this month... Remember this card?

Well, here is the stepped up version:

Can you spot the changes? A different sentiment, an extra layer  of cardstock and a white card base & a different flower centre (I popped both the gold and clear faceted gems in my tub), but it's always amazing how little changes can make a big difference!

It was such a fantastic day and simply awesome to catch up with familiar faces and meet some new demo friends on the day.... Massive, massive thanks to Kelly and Nicole for arranging the day! I know I and many others are looking forward to doing it again!

To continue on the hop, please hop on over to Denise's blog next....

Hi Everyone,

We've had a run of birthdays over the past couple of weeks and here's some of the cards I've made with my girls....

We love doing matching card and journal sets - paper is from my daughters' stash and isn't SU

A cute fairy card for my Mum

Soccer themed card for my soccer mad nephew

Not strictly Stampin' Up! products but I was proud of my tshirt transfers, headband and matching skirt for a Frozen themed party

A special birthday present!

Hi Everyone,

We had the pleasure of attending one of my friends daughters' 1st birthday party last weekend and I decided to make her something special!

This is what I designed! I'm pretty proud of this creation!! It's the first time I've done a shadow box like this and, honestly, I would love to do some more! Mmmm, better check the calendar and see what else is coming up!!

Now there's always off cuts or pieces that I don't use on the initial project, so I used some of these pieces to make a quick and simple coordinating card:

Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my shadow box :)

Monthly Card Making Class - Part 2

Hi Everyone,

As promised, I'm back this week to share the other cards we made at my class on Friday night. These ones were quite simple and fast to make but we did some stamping on vellum and it was interesting to see the different effect it had on our cards.

Card 1 of this design

Card 2 of the same design but with a banner layer added - love the banner punch!

Just swapping the sentiment and layers about a little

And again, just a couple of changes

Monthly Card Making Class - Part 1

Hi Everyone,

Friday night was my monthly card class and for the first time I had 7 guests around my new(ish) work table! I was excited!

This is the first card design we made:

And I tweaked my kit a little to make these:

The piece of dsp has simply been flipped over to show the reverse side and the card turned to landscape

During the week, I'll show you the other card design - our home internet isn't working at the moment so I'm trying to do this with mobile data on a Sunday night whilst the rest of the family aren't using up all my data allowance. It's incredible how reliant we are on the internet working - we haven't had Netflix for a week! Tradegy! Lol!! :)
