Growing on the Swallowtail....

Hi Everyone,

Recently, I purchased the Swallowtail stamp set... In Clear mount... I was originally reluctant to buy it, it's only one stamp and honestly I didn't think I'd use it too much.

However thanks to pinterest and some of the blogs I follow I have been inspired!

These are the first couple of cards I have made with the Swallowtail.





I plan to do some heat embossing and a few other techniques so I'll be sure to share them with you... Not much crafting is happening here, well let me rephrase that as I hear my girls pulling out more sticky tape! There's not much of my crafting going on here as it's school holidays! lol :)

Testing out and playing with MDS

Hi Everyone,

I've been doing lots of playing with MDS or My Digital Studio over the past week or so... There hasn't been too much traditional style cardmaking happening...

Here's some of the scrapbook layouts I have done with MDS - I'm pretty happy with all these especially considering I don't normally do much scrapbooking!












 If you follow the months along each pic, you'll see I've got a few more to go before I've done a page for each month last year. This has probably matched all the paper scrapbooking I've done despite having the best intentions and loads of supplies hehehe :)

ESAD Seasonal Catalogue Blog Hop

Ok, now for my projects - I'm focussing on the Hexagon Honeycomb Embossing Folder.
Hexagon Honeycomb Embossing Folder with the Core'dinations Pool Party Card Stock, lightly sanded to create a distressed look and expose the contrasting colour of the card 

This time with the Core'dinations Primose Petal Card Stock

And of course I couldn't use the Hexagon Honeycomb folder without doing a little Bee punch art. Especially considering Dad and I are ramping our beehives back up.
This time I've inked up my folder with Daffodil Delight Ink and embossed onto Very Vanilla Card.

I'm in love with MDS!

Hi Everyone,

MDS or My Digital Studio has been released in Australia this week and I'm in love!! Big time!! It's Stampin' Up!'s very own digital scrapbooking program.

So much so that I've entered the scrapbooking challenge at Just Add Ink - this is big, I hardly ever scrapbook!




I made this page in maybe 30min from the free trial... It was a bit of playing around really, I haven't watched any of the tutorials or read much on it...


The free trial can be downloaded here, make sure you pop my details (Richelle Fletcher, Canning Vale, WA) into the Demonstrator Finder so that you have me as a support for any queries.


I think MDS has the potential to be huge, give it a go even if you aren't a papercrafter - it's user friendly and you can do so much with it - Think party invites, decorations, cards, photo books, ooh the list just goes on and on! Supported on both Mac and Windows computers, MDS has 1000's of images, backgrounds, embellishments and loads more!!

Now if only I can find a housework fairy, I will sit and play work on MDS all day long!!

Just Add Ink Entry!

Hi Everyone,

I haven't entered a Just Add Ink Challenge for a long time... I'm talking 6mths at a wild guess.

Anyway, I saw this challenge and loved the sketch layout - I even made 2 cards but I will have to share them separately so I can enter them both!

February Classes

Hi Everyone,

Today I'm playing catch up with my blogging and I thought I'd share the cards we made at the February classes:





A new layout with exactly the same kit as the above cards

These cards all featured the Sale-a-bration papers Sycamore Street. I've also used the new Honeycomb embossing folder, the stripes embossing folder, and the Bitty Butterfly punch (the smaller of the butterflies). If you would like any extra details, please ask.

I've also been playing with the online photo editing site - picmonkey, as my programs both seem to be having hissy fits and don't want to work! I think they are upset with me lol ;)

Gee it's been a busy 3 wks!

Hi Everyone,

My goodness, I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since I last blogged! Where does the time fly? Oh that's right, looking after the family, housework, grocery shopping, and gardening... So much for having lots of time once the girls are at full time school.

Well I spent today at the Atwell Primary School Fete and it was a great day. We (Jo from Pretty Little Things) and I had a little hiccup to start off with - we would have ended up with a stall in the full sun and absolutely no shade! Eeek! That wouldn't have been good as it was rather warm and we would have been rather toasted to say the least by the end of the day.

In the last few weeks, I've had 2 new members join my Stampin' Up! team which I'm very excited about. One is my Mum and together we have booked our flights to Brisbane to go to the Stampin' Up! National Convention later this year. It will be my first time there and I'm very excited!

I've got a few photographs to edit and I will share them with you this week - I've even managed to take part in a Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge.

I've finally made 2 punch art designs I've been thinking about for ages!!
