ESAD Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the 2013-2014 Idea Book and Catalogue Blog Hop!!!

If you are just starting, there's 25 Australian and New Zealand demonstrators who have linked their blogs to showcase some of the products in the new catalogue that starts today!!! It's a very VERY exciting time of year! All the demonstrators are members of ESAD - a great online community, where as a demonstrator, you can make loads of friends!

If you are part the way through the hop, you will have found me through Marsha, weren't her projects wonderful! (Can you tell I love blog hops??)

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

We love what we do & love to share with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD Demonstrator community, through swaps, challenges, sharing knowledge, ideas & friendship, and we're always there to help and support each other.

So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, leave me a comment with your email address and I'll contact you with information on how to join our wonderful group.

Okay, onto my projects, I'm making a new catalogue resolution and that's to use more of my designer series paper... I'm sure I'm not the only one who has scrapbooking papers stockpiled!

Today I'm sharing my projects created with the Happy Day Stamp Set and the Modern Medley DSP mixed with some of my favourite cardstock colours. And I had to open up my Dress Up Framelits and use them for the first time!!

The 2012-2013 Retiring List & some sneak peeks from Convention

Hi Everyone,

Long time no blog I know... It was a bit busy here getting things ready for being away - it was after all my first Convention and the first time away from hubby and the kids.

To cut a long story short, Mum and I had a great time in Brisbane, met lots of lovely Stampin' Up! demonstrators, staff from Australia and New Zealand's head office and of course just a few special guests from Stampin' Up! Utah, including the one who started it all - Shelli Gardner.

Ok, here comes some photos...

Day 1
Waiting for Convention to start!
Yes I'm here!!! For the first time ever, and it's only taken me 6yrs of being a demonstrator

Opening Act - these drummers were pretty amazing and got our blood pumping...

Especially when they started throwing their drums (garbage cans) around and over the top of the girls head! Apparently they were on Australia's Got Talent or similar - I missed that part and don't watch those talent shows too often.
Shelli Gardner!

Aaron Scott and I - Aaron is the head honcho for SU here in Australia

I'm sure you all know who this man is! He was at Convention for Shelli's announcement that Stampin' Up! are now a Global  Sponsor for Ronald McDonald House Charities... There's going to be a special stamp set from which every sale will result in a donation to RMHC here in Australia and sales in New Zealand go to RMHC in NZ.

So yes, we had a photo with Ronald....

Now, here's a few sneak peeks at some samples that another demo (Donna Williams - she's in the process of creating a blog so I cannot link to anything just yet) had created - it was a wonderful display in an old printing press tray, drew loads and loads of compliments!

How's this for a-may-zing!!

Good enough to eat!! This cake looked awesome - but I don't know who created it

Sample board for the Colour Refresh - the new colour familes!

Ok, bored of Convention photos, well there's lots more news...

  • The 2012-2013 Retiring list has been released - you can find it all online here
  • New "Best of..." Stamp sets are being released in June
  • New "Single Stamps" are also being released in June - these will come only in Clear mount

I'll have more Convention photos and more on these great new promotions soon.

If you have any queries, please remember to leave a comment or send an email to me. Also if you would like to pre-order your 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! Catalogue, please send me an email so we can arrange it.

Edit: I have found out tonight that Donna Williams was the creative genius behind all these samples!! Isn't she just soooo incredibly talented! Isn't the land of facebook a wonderful place, without my ESAD group I wouldn't have known who made these creations and I love to be able to credit people where it's required for their work and their generosity of sharing what they love!

Hi Everyone,

Stampin' Up! have released a sneak peek new product for us - This and That.
It's a journalling and/mini scrapbook with a difference.

There's also a super cool rotary date stamp - I can't wait to get myself one of these... I think it dates (pardon the pun) back to my love of books and borrowing them from the library - remember when they used to stamp the due date in the front of your book.

Custom Order for Pretty Little Things

Hi Everyone,

Recently I have completed an order for Pretty Little Things for our combined hair clip cards.

What do you think? I did do another colour scheme for the fairy, but I forgot to photograph it - whoopsies! Lol, just means I'll have to make another one to share :)

More Mother's Day Cards

Hi Everyone,

These are a few more Mother's Day Cards I've been making... Some of these have made their way to KALM Wellness Centre in North Perth.

The flowers and tags are all part of the Pop-Up Posies Kit available in the current seasonal catalogue and the sentiment is from the same kit.

The colours were totally random mixes - primarily based the scraps of Designer Series Paper I had on my desk from previous projects.

Righto, off to make some more goodies, I'm having a stall at the Success Primary Fete this Sunday.

Growing on the Swallowtail....

Hi Everyone,

Recently, I purchased the Swallowtail stamp set... In Clear mount... I was originally reluctant to buy it, it's only one stamp and honestly I didn't think I'd use it too much.

However thanks to pinterest and some of the blogs I follow I have been inspired!

These are the first couple of cards I have made with the Swallowtail.

I plan to do some heat embossing and a few other techniques so I'll be sure to share them with you... Not much crafting is happening here, well let me rephrase that as I hear my girls pulling out more sticky tape! There's not much of my crafting going on here as it's school holidays! lol :)

Testing out and playing with MDS

Hi Everyone,

I've been doing lots of playing with MDS or My Digital Studio over the past week or so... There hasn't been too much traditional style cardmaking happening...

Here's some of the scrapbook layouts I have done with MDS - I'm pretty happy with all these especially considering I don't normally do much scrapbooking!

If you follow the months along each pic, you'll see I've got a few more to go before I've done a page for each month last year. This has probably matched all the paper scrapbooking I've done despite having the best intentions and loads of supplies hehehe :)

If you would like to download a free trial, you can do so here: http://www3.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=126
Make sure you pop in my details as your demonstrator
