ESAD 2017 Retirement List Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

It's time for the ESAD 2017 Retirement List Blog Hop!

If you have been following the hop around, thank you for continuing onto my page! I love joining in the ESAD hops as we all have such a wide range of creativity! Didn't you just love Tanya's creations - she never ceases to amaze!

The retirement list is a bittersweet time of year for the Stampin' Up! annual Idea Book and Catalogue, it means a whole heap of products are retiring but it does mean a massive amount of new products are about to be released!

I decided to showcase the Owl Punch (I'm gonna miss this punch, it's so versatile!!), the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and the 2015-17 In Colors for my cards:

And then I decided to use some of my DSP, the gift box punch board and the Party Pop-up thinlits for my next project -

Of course, I had to add a bit of bling with the silver dazzling details (that's the spotty bit all over the Happy Birthday diecut)! This has been the best way to add glitter to so many of my cards! I'll definitely miss it when my stash runs out.....

What this blurb may not convey is just how awesome the ESAD group is! I have been a member for most of my 10yrs as a demo and find it a great source of inspiration, advice and information on all things Stampin' Up! related.

Cute cards but I've used contraband!

Hi everyone,

Here's a couple of cards I've made in the last week for friends' daughters' birthdays...

The stamp is one I fell in love with years and ago and is one of a few non- Stampin ' Up! stamps I have. To make up for using a contraband stamp, all my cardstock is Stampin' Up! She is just too cute not to share!

Miss 8 decorated this notebook for a  friend who is crazy over rabbits.

It doesn't show in the photos very well but the name and insides of the ears are cut from some of the glitter paper!

More creations for work colleagues....

Hi Everyone,

Well I've had to design another goodbye card for a work colleague! I do shower and maintain a level of cleaniness but I'm starting to wonder if maybe I do smell and that's why we're saying goodbye! ;)
In all seriousness, it's actually because they are moving onto jobs after finishing uni degrees and I believe the latest person to leave is going to follow a horse related dream!

Anyway, here's what I made: (I couldn't really choose anything else than horse theme!)

The horse is from a retired stamp set called "Bareback", and it's one I'm definitely glad I've never parted with.

We have also got to send our congrats onto a different team member who is getting married!!

The theme of New Zealand was requested, so I went with the tropical vegetation.... This was my work in progress pic... Keep in mind, the colleague it was for was a bloke, so I couldn't go all girly and lacey!

The finished result - I love this paper! And I was pretty happy with my colouring - it was only 1 colour - Old Olive - via a marker and a blender pen to get all these shades of green!

Goodbye Cards

Hi Everyone,

In the last couple of weeks, I've made 2 goodbye cards for co-workers who are moving onto new workplaces after completing their uni degrees.

I'm sad and happy at the same time as I'm going to miss these 2 but I'm super excited for them!

I made both these cards A5 size, which is 21x14.8cm, or 1 sheet of A4 card folded in half. This made plenty of room inside for everyone at work to sign inside each card.

Another notebook....

Hi everyone,

A quick share with you today, my youngest daughter and I decorated this journal and made a matching card last week for one of her school friends.

I love making these little sets and with so many different names and unusual spelling around, this is a cute, quick and personalised gift.

The happy birthday sentiment is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set. The stars are retired punches but luckily there are star framelits available which would work well.
