Festive Friday Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my first ever design team post!! I was very very lucky to be able to help out Nicole Derendorf,  with this Festive Friday Challenge!

This time round it was a colour challenge. These were the colours:

And of course, it had to be festive....

This is what I came up with:

I was thrilled to help out Nicole! And it gave my creative juices a massive kick start! That night I cleaned my craft room so I could spend the next 2 days crafting!! Of course, it never takes long to make my space all messy again, but I'm slowly getting my room more organised and user friendly so it makes cleaning up a lot easier and I'm trying to do it more often so there's not so much mess!

More are ready to be put together including a reindeer so hopefully I'll get to that over the wkend.

The box sixe is 3" wide x 2" deep x 3" high then the 'face' panels are added onto that

Last minute Christmas Cards..

Hi All,

Are you ready for Christmas? Only a couple of sleeps left and I realised yesterday I was about 20 cards short after spending the night before writing loads of cards... So last night I cased a demonstrator friend, Nicki Turner, and made this card....

I just love the crisp and fresh look of whisper white and wild wasabi together! So I added a little retired stitched ribbon and voila! I used my new "Square Lattice" embossing folder and the "Delightful Decorations" stamp set.

I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

My hubby has some time off work next week so we are hoping do to a few things around the house (if it's not too hot - forecasted temps of over 36degrees every day at this stage!), so I'm also hoping for some crafting time - there's a mountain of sewing and stamping I would like to do!

Only 16 Sleeps until Christmas...

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe there are only 16 sleeps until Christmas!! Yikes!

If you are stumped for a special gift for someone special, why not buy a gift voucher? They come with their own Christmas card too! The vouchers can be used for any Stampin' Up! products ordered through me or for any of my classes.

OR

Email me your wishlist of any Stampin' Up products you would like to receive. (Don't worry, this is not an order.) Add your name, contact details and the people you would like to receive your wishlist and their contact details. Then I will contact these people and arrange your gift with them. These people will only be contacted regarding your wishlist and I won't pester them afterwards.

Stamp and Stack December - The Results

Hi Everyone,

Last Friday night was my final Stamp and Stack class for 2010. I would to thank everyone who has been coming to my classes and making them such a fun time!

Here's some pics of what we made:

Card #1:
I love this Dasher Stamp
(one of the a la carte range and it's only $14.95)

Here's a close up of the self adhesive rhinestone jewels

This card used the retired stamp set "Merry Mini's".

A close up of the added detail with the faux suede ribbon folded 3 times and 'held' in place with a self adhesive pearl.

We made 2 of these boxes, all the papers were from the Jolly Holiday paper pack. I found the instructions for this acetate box on Splitcoast Stampers. Then of course, we needed something to fill up our little boxes, and that's where some jumbo sized boxes of Cadbury Favorites came in super handy (we had to sample some too on the night but you didn't hear that from me!)

All the colours are based on the Jolly Holiday Designer Series paper, so we have Old Olive, Riding Hood Red (as I don't have any Cherry Cobbler yet) & Very Vanilla.

If you have any questions, please ask! I'm only too happy to help out! :)

And I have some exciting news:
1)I will be having my 2nd ever craft stall at The Glades Markets in Byford, WA on Sat 18th Dec. Make sure you say hello if you are there!!
2) Due to the success of my Stamp and Stack Classes during 2010, I will be continuing them throughout 2011. So pencil Friday 14th Jan in your diary and I'll provide the details soon.

Stamping with Charlotte

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I had an assistant with my stamping - Miss 4 (Charlotte) helped me to make some gifts to give to her kindy friends...

This is what we made:

Miss 4 did the stamping and glueing, I punched out the shapes (scallop circles, 1 1/4" inch & 1 3/8" circles) and helped with lining the circles... We then just a bit of good old sticky tape to adhere the tags to the candy canes. I also wrote each child's name on the back of each scallop circle. The kids are only 4, they want the lollies and aren't going to be too worried about the packaging!

Each of cake hey! Well piece of candy cane actually :)

Gift Boxes

Hi All,

Last year I downloaded some templates from My Time Made Easy and I've finally started using them, and yes I know it's taken me a while lol.

Anyway, these are some simply decorated versions of the "In a Pinch" box.

I'm planning on filling these up with choccies or nuts and giving them out as Thank you / Christmas gifts to the girls' teachers.

Craft Thyme Christmas Extravaganza 2010

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was the Craft Thyme Christmas Extravaganza Fair here in Perth and it was the day for Andrea and my first ever Craft fair! Boy were we nervous but extremely excited!!

Here's a few pics from the day:

Tucked in our stall we also had a "Make and Take" Table were customers could make and take home a Christmas card (designed and prepared in kit form by Andrea, isn't she a gem!)

It was a great but tiring day! We met lots of new people and both of us were able to put faces to many online friends which was fantastic!!

If you weren't able to make it, or didn't buy something whilst you were @ the Fair, please email me any queries you have.

My Christmas Medallion

Hi All,

Well this is one of the scheduled posts for the week, and I thought I'd show you a quick Christmas Card using the Medallion Stamp set.

I've actually used the retired colours "Ruby Red" & "Garden Green" as my base colours, but you can easily substitute any colours you like.

And here's a close up of the centre - I simply stamped the Medallion onto some scrap card, punched out a circle in the centre and adhered it with a dimensional to my card - not bad for an easy 'extra' on your card... Technically, I think it can be classed as 'spotlighting' a part of the card.
