Social Stamping with Kelly - Family

Image may contain: text

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this week's Social Stamping with Kelly Blog Host... If you are following all the links around, you will have just come from Catherine's blog, if you are just starting, settle in somewhere comfy, there's a fair bit of inspiration coming your way with 20 of us joining this week's social stamping.

This week's theme is family and I thought I would create a scrapbook page to share with you of my family.

I admit, I'm not a big scrapbooker, despite having plenty of supplies, I have this crazy mindset that a 12" project is too hard! Anyway, in an effort to break free, I have broken down a 12" page to something smaller and then built it back up to a full 12". The photos should explain better...

Start simple - photo, 1 layer, ribbon scrap and a 12" base

Added a layer of navy card

Added a white layer

Found a felted vellum layer to add a little more impact and changed the base to navy

And the finished result!
I added the title by cutting it with my scan n cut. Once I worked out the cutting settings, it worked well!! The border is simply ruled with a white gel pen (tip if you cross the corners, you don't need to stress over the measurements too much!)

Have fun looking around at everyone's blogs today. Next on the list is Mandy.

No photo description available.

I hope you have a chance to get crafty this weekend. I've requested a day of uninterrupted time in my craftroom for Mother's Day here in Australia tomorrow - I wonder what chance I've got of that happening!?!?

If you want to look around in sections, work from the master list on Kelly's blog.

Take care,
Richelle

    1. Can't really go wrong with a red, white and navy colour combo!
And yes, seeing as I have a private hubby and 2 tweens, I thought I'd pop a smiley face on each of us ;)

  4. Did you manage your day in the craft room - that sounds like the best Mother's Day present ever! Great way to work through the scrapbooking. I really wish I could fill albums with memories, but I'm a terrible memory keeper!!! Even in small doses like Project Life & journals. My kids will have to rely on Facebook memories :P Kelly x
