In-Colour Thank You Cards

Hi Everyone,

Here's some cards using the new In Color range - Midnight Muse & Raspberry Ripple and some of the gorgeous Stitched satin ribbon.

A close-up of the flowers

I've used the Betsy's Blossoms & Made For You Stamp sets, the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and added some Rhinestone Jewels. I've also used Versamark and the Betsy's Blooms Wheel for the stamped detail along the So Saffron card strip in the centre.

And yes I know Color is spelt the American way, but it is the trademarked spelling for the In Color Collection (and it bugs me big time every time I've typed it lol).

Christmas Bonbons

Hi Everyone,

At one of my recent private classes, the ladies were interested in making bonbons and matching cards, ready for gifts.

This is what we made:

The bonbons are die cut with the Big Shot and the Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die. My idea is to use the bonbons around the table on Christmas Day and the cards as placecards for everyone... I'll have a few more to make though lol (and wouldn't it be nice if everyone kept their bonbons in one piece so I could re-use them for years to come!)

If you are interested in making these sets, please contact me to arrange a class. Alternatively, I can make them for you in your choice of colours. Just email me to arrange it :)

Bletchley Park Fete

Hi Everyone,

On the weekend I had a stall at the Bletchley Park Fete, one of the local primary schools.

This is my new look for my stalls this summer! What do you think?

The bunting is one of my projects from last week's mammoth sewing effort - I used the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die and picked out the largest of the pennants... The fabric was from Spotlight and I chose it as it matches my polka dot theme and really stands out against my black tablecloths.

On the stand you can see some of the bags I was also making... I will have some better photographs for you of them later in the week.

Wow - 500 blog posts!

Hi Everyone,

Wow-  I've seen tonight that my last blog post has ticked me to the '500' mark!

Thank you all for your support, feedback and interest...

I've got some ideas up my sleeve to make the next 500 posts, well not actually a full 500 individual ideas, but I thought I'd start designing / creating some tutorial projects. Another idea is a 'class by mail' scenario, so any feedback would be welcome - what would you like to see here??

The Big Shot and my recent sewing creations....

Hi Everyone,

Sooo, this week I've pulled out the sewing machine and been using it with my Scallop Square Die and my Big Shot. If you receive my facebook page updates, this is the project that I was hinting about and saying that I was really happy with the way they've turned out.

A close-up of the work involved in these bags...
Each sqaure has an "X" sewn first to hold the layers together

I love this fabric and the way this bag has turned out!! It's so fun and bright!!

I think this a pre-teen kind of fabric, so I made the bag a little deeper to fit in all the extras they'd be carrying around.... It'd even fit a Dolly or Girlfriend mag or whatever they read these days... And it's made from a denim fabric, the Big Shot cuts all sorts of things (you can read more about that here)!! :P

These will be available with a few others and some scrapping tote bags I've made at the Bletchley Park Primary Fete on Sunday - 11am - 3pm, come down and say hello if you're in the area.

Recent projects...

Hi Everyone,

Well it was back to school for my girls last week and you'd think that would give me a chnace to catch up on some blogging and show you what I've been up to.... Mmmm well it hasn't quite happened like that but I'm making up for it tonight with this post and then a few scheduled posts over the next few days.

So, I've been teaching my classes and getting my stock ready for the start of market season... Here's a few cards that I've made recently:

I've been meaning to try these "lacy frills' for ages and had some strips of bright coloured card stock so I did it. My hint is to actually have longer strips of card stock than what you need, it sure makes it easier to line up the pattern of the punch!! Trust me on this! I did have a couple of tries before figuring this out! lol :)

The "grover" card was made from one of many sesame st characters I have ready in a box, I'm slowly working my way through them all - I have no idea why I was sooooo keen on making grover, cookie monster, oscar and big bird faces but hey they are cute and always great for the little kids.

Please keep checking back in to see updates from recent classes and some more market goodies :)

Felt and the Big Shot

Hi Everyone,

Today I've finally dug out the felt bags I purchased a while ago and decorated them! With felt! And the Big Shot...

And I've also been testing out the picmonkey program for photo collages  - I think I like this a LOT! It's going to be a great and easy to use program!

I used the Circles #2 Originals Die, the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die and the Flowers Folds Bigz XL Die for all my flowers and circles and added some of the Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons and a few random buttons from my (recently sorted out stash).

The Big Shot must be one of my favourite purchases! I love it's versatility! You can see a long list of items that you can use with your Big Shot here.

Dont' forget about the "It's Spool Time" Promotion that currently running, there's a FREE roll of ribbon for every $60 you spend! All the details are here and if you would like to place an order, please email me.

Playing with some digital programs

Hi Everyone,

I've been playing some more with my digital collection discs, and working out how it all works plus some different features on my photo-editing program (GIMP).

Here's some recent things I've made:

Each of these prints are A4 sized and framed, they are available for purchase, please email me or check out my facebook page for the details.

Well, it's the last official day of school holidays here, then just the wkend and back to school on Monday, I'm not really looking forward to the early starts and making lunches but I am looking forward to some 'me' time and thus some crafting time. The girls are currently playing playdough whilst I'm typing this post up and it's all very nice. I hope the peace lasts the day lol :)

Using the Digital Collections

Hi Everyone,

Well, it's been a strange 6 weeks, I've had the flu and then to top it off have had tonsillitis for the last week. And that's strange as normally I don't get sick for too long, guess I was a bit more run down than I thought....

Anyway, I have been making a few things here and there so over the next week I'll show them to you. I won't commit to how regular the posts will be, you may get 2 in a day, we're now on school holidays in WA so it'll be whenever I can get some peace to be on the computer lol :)

Today is all about using the Digital Collections. My last post for the ESAD Blog Hop showed 2 tote bags I made... It's all very easy really, I just printed out an A4 page of one of the digital papers I liked, traced my tote bag template onto it and whipped it up.

I printed the papers out just like I would a photo, using the program on my computer that probably came with the camera. No fancy tricks or programs at all... They all came out really lovely on our Whisper White cardstock.. So smooth, no colour runs either :)

Right off for the first movie of the holidays, Alice in Wonderland (the cartoon version). I remember watching this as a kid and now I get to share it with my girls - ♥ it!

ESAD Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the ESAD Blog Hop for the new annual catalogue! This is a super exciting blog hop for us as the new Idea Book and Catalogue is full of new ah-may-zing products!

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin Up! demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

If you have been following along the blog hop, you will have come from Kathryn's blog... If you are starting here, there's a full list of the blog hop at the bottom of this page, and each blog will have links to the next one.

So my projects today are actually what I showcased at the Perth Heartfelt Event a couple of weeks ago. I did give a sneak peek of this outfit on an earlier post this month but I've been saving the details for this blog hop! If you missed the post, there's a few other pics from the event here.

This first shirt has been made with the Floral District Fabric and the fabric adhesive. I love how easy it was to decorate this shirt, I added a flower cut using the Big Shot and the Flower Folds XL Die. The button in the centre is a self covering button from a shop that shall remain nameless but rhymes with "totnight"

Then of course, there was 2 other pieces of co-ordinating fabric left so I just had to make a skirt - with no pattern might I add (yes I'm a little proud of myself on this fact), and I still have 1 piece of fabric left over.

For this flower, I printed out one of the digital stamps from the Comfort Cafe Digital Collection and created a stencil from it. I traced the stencil onto the back of the fabric adhesive and cut out the shape with some super sharp scissors. Add a circle of felt (cut using the Circles #2 die) and one of the new Naturals Buttons handstitched onto the short.

And of course, every girl is going to need a matching headband right? This is another thing I've whipped up with no pattern. There's some elastic enclosed in headband to scrunch it up and make it stretchy.

Another new product I have been playing with is the new Digital Collections Disc. I'm lucky enough to have the "Comfort Cafe" & "Floral District" Discs (which accidently on purpose matches the fabrics I used above). I designed these little totes bags, they are just the perfect size for the tshirts to be folded/rolled up and placed inside.

Please let me know if you are interested in a template and I will make one up.

Well, that's it from me, if you go visit Jane's blog, you'll have some more projects to drool over be inspired by :)
