I designed my own Easter Basket!

Hi Everyone,

Last week, whilst preparing for the Glades Markets in Byford, I designed my own Easter Basket! Now not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty impressed with myself.

It came about after making a little bag that Gardenia Pepworth had on her blog, and as I sat there looking at it, the mouse in my head jumped on it's turbo wheel and voila! This is my basket!!

This is my prototype!

And these are a couple of extras I made:

These and more are all available for purchase from my album on facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/StampinWithRichelle?ref=ts#!/media/set/fbx/?set=a.10150238417075609.373220.419381570608. But once they are gone that's it in that colour!

Please 'like' my facebook page if you haven't already :)

Oh and I'm going to write up a tutorial for you to make your own so stay tuned over the coming days!

Thanks for looking,

Easter Bunny Cards

Hi Everyone,

Last night I sat down in my "new office" and made some cards. I was a bit worried that my mojo had taken a hike and got lost but thankfully I found some inspiration and made these cards...

Ok, so I cheated a little, they are all the same layout but I always find it amazing how different a card looks by simply changing 1 colour. I also did some different embossing with my Big Shot and the Polka Dot  Square Lattice Embossing folders.

Under renovations

Hi Everyone,

No, I haven't disappeared, though it was a threat over the weekend with all the changes we are making around our house. Furniture is being moved left, right and centre! All for the best we hope!! With the biggest change being the removal of tv in the family room! This could be very ummm shall we say interesting. It's an effort to cut down tv time for all of our family and increase the quality time we spend together as a family. As a bonus, it means the loungeroom has been changed into our home office and the spare room will return to being a spare room (well once all the junk that we've dumped there has been sorted and tidied.. I'll take some pics and show off the new setup when it's ready :)

Anyway, I will be back later in the week to show off some goodies I'm making for The Glades Markets in Byford this Saturday night.

{Click the flyer to enlarge}
If you would like a copy emailed or posted to you, please let me know.

And providing my mojo returns soon, I will have some new cards/projects to show you soon.... We have been renovating our laundry and I haven't really been able to get into my (very messy) craft room.

Thanks for looking,

Edited 5/4/11 - Added the flyer as the link was not available ~ Apologies for any confusion

Cherished Butterflies

Hi Everyone,

Something you may not know about me is that I'm a total sucker for butterflies... Not very original, but hey, I find them fascinating!

Anyway I have been really good and not bought every butterfly in the Stampin' Up! Catalogue! and I withheld buying the butterfly embosslits die "Beautiful Wings" for my bigshot until very recently... Here's a card I've made using this new die - Did I mention I'm lovin' the butterflies!?

Did you guess that this was made with a leftover kit from my last class... Not a bad variation hey? :P

My funky owl card

Hi Everyone,

Have I happened to mention how much I am lurving my owl punch!! I combined the owl from the Sale-a-bration "Punch Bunch" stamp set with 3 different circles punches and created this card...

The sentiment is from the "On your birthday" set and the polka dot ribbon was from one of last year's mini catties.

So I challenge you to make a card like this! It's super easy to case my design and it will work with so many stamps, you don't have to own the owl! However, if you place an order for $100 or more, you can receive your very own owl stamp! Remember to order your owl punch for $33.95 too :)

Hoot Hoot!

Hi Everyone,

Another card I've made is this cutie with the owl punch and owl stamp from the Sale-a-bration "Punch Bunch" set:

Great way to use up some scrap card too!! Something I have an excess of! The branch is from the bird punch and the sentiment is from the "On your birthday" stamp set.

And don't forget, the Sale-a-bration and Summer Mini Catalogues finish on 31st March!! That's this coming Thursday (how quickly is the year flying past already).

Clean & Simple #130

Hi Everyone,

I made these couple of cards based on the Clean & Simple Sketch #130.

Bit of retired designer series papers, 1/2 top note die cut and a bit of ribbon, adhere to base card stock and voila, you've got yourself a card!!

Gotta love it when your clean and simple card is just that! Clean, simple and QUICK!! lol :)

I think I've recovered....

Hi Everyone,

Well, it's been 3days since Craft Thyme and I think I've now recovered (ok, my house hasn't but that's only the boxes of leftover goodies waiting to be sorted out and put away).

Here's a pic of Andrea & I at our stall:

We loved having a our stall up in a "H" shape! Made the perfect layout for displaying our goodies and also our "demo / make & take" table.

And I apologise for the quality of these next couple of pics- I must have had the shakes when I was taking them! Nearly every pic is a bit blurred!!

Close-up pic of my box of cards - The box was courtesy of my hubby!
And it's the best thing I've had to keep my cards in!

Now, you may think this is silly or sad, but I had a nice surprise as Tammy, who runs Craft Thyme, printed out this lil' sign and it was near the front door! Thanks Tammy!!!!

The whole day was great! I met lots of new people and saw some friends I never see often enough!! Thanks to all who stopped by my stall!!! And thanks to Andrea for putting up with me all day (we were there from 8am).

Craft Thyme Fair is Tomorrow!

Hi Everyone,

I'm quickly popping past tonight to remind you about the Craft Thyme Fair that's on in Cannington tomorrow.

I'll be there with my sideline demo-friend Andrea Buckland so make sure you come and see us :)

I'm hoping I've remembered to pack everything I've made and wanted to take, I'm nervous and excited, and I'm really, really tired! But it's only to be expected this will be my 3rd Craft fair, and so I've been madly making more cards and working out the best way to display some of my things.

Well, few more of those things still to do and then I'm hitting the hay for an early night!!

Enjoy your wkend, and I've got lots of pics of cards and things I've made to show you next week! :)

Making notepads...

Hi Everyone,

I love multi-tasking! Lately it's been a bit quieter at night with Miss 4 working out that she can go to bed without calling out for up to 2hrs. This has meant I still can't go into my craft room at night however, I've been crafting in front the telly instead.

So I've been catching up on my shows (mainly NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, Burn Notice, and The Good Wife) and relaxing.... I even manage to watch a bit of Macgyver with the hubby so that's earning some brownie points lol :)

And the other thing I'm loving is my owl punch! I've given it a good workout on these notepads!!

These will be on sale at the Craft Thyme Fair on Saturday 19th March, if not sold prior. Although if you really love one, I'm sure I can reproduce it for you...

Take care & enjoy your wkend! I'm off to finish packing for tonight's card making class.

Happy Birthday Mum

Hi Everyone,

It's funny how quick the time has flown between Dad's b'day at the start of Feb to Mum's b'day last week. I mean it's only a month but so much seems to have happened in that month!

Anyway, as a treat, my Sister and I took my Mum, Nana and my girls out to lunch at the local Dome cafe (it's huge by the way and it's funny I rarely think of going there for a meal because I always think of it only being a coffee shop).

Well we had a great time there and this is the card I made for Mum.

Bit of a different colour scheme for me, I've never used a lot of the pale plum but now it's retired I use even less! :P

And I love how easy these rolled flowers are to make! If you haven't seen them before, check out the tutorial here by Tania Gould and also here for the box I made last year with the rose on the top.

Hi Everyone,

My latest card to show you is one of several I'm making to donate to Crafty Mumma's Supporting Men's Health.

I thought I'd make some mens' cards as it's something many of us card makers struggle with! I dug out my "Bareback" stamp set (retired) and made this card:

I've used my crimper to create the textured strips of card, I simply ran the card through at 2 different angles.

If you're in WA, enjoy the long wkend!! I have a list of things to do about a mile and a half long, nearly all of which is going to be delayed this morning as I'm off to visit my parents and one of my grandparents who came out of hospital yessterday.

Top note Calendars

Hi Everyone,

I'm having a slow clean on my desk and working area and found some pre-printed calendars. So I thought I'd try a couple of top-note calendars that can be stuck on the fridge.

And seeing as I've quite a few of these calendars, I can see a few more of these being made for the Craft Thyme fair on March 19th! Hope to see you there if you're a local Perthite :)

Don't forget to let me know what you think of the calendars too :)
